Eine Frau blickt durchdringend in die Kamera, das Objekitv verzerrt, die Musik zerrt, das Sofa, auf dem sie sitzt, pendelt wild vor und zurück, die Bewegung bringt den Raum durcheinander, und aus dem Off ertönen Erzählfragmente von Tod und Fäulnis und Wiederkehr - Bestand eines B-Stars. Ein bisschen wie "Through the Looking Glass" suggeriert Marte den Blick von der anderen Seite, von hinter dem Spiegel, doch sie verweigert jede Koketterie mit der Kamera: Was folgt ist die Auflösung von Innen und Außen, diesseits und jenseits - ein Leinwand-Durchbruch.

At first, all that is visible is the image of a woman's torso, overexposed; on the sound track a rustle, crash, and voices. Ultimately, the picture of a woman - the artist herself - takes shape, a voice begins, but the woman does not move her lips, gazing steadfastly into the camera. This situation does not change over the course of the video, whereas the spatial setting (a couch in a loft) is steadily manipulated: The couch, as though animated by a ghost, moves back and forth in the room. The border between the real and cinematic spaces stretches, and, in the end, dissolves. (Claudia Slanar)
